Food sensitivity panels (mostly IgG): price comparison
10 listings from 6 sellers, from $169 to $520 including separately listed fees. Last checked Oct 19, 2026.
What it measures
Most panels on this page measure IgG antibodies to a list of food antigens (87 to 250 foods). Two rows use different methods (ALCAT, a cell-based test; MRT, a mediator release test). Panels differ in foods covered and method, so compare the Product column, not just price.
Lab: Various (Genova, Mosaic, Diagnostic Solutions, ALCAT, Oxford Biomedical) · Specimen: Blood draw or bloodspot
Evidence level: Not validated (IgG panels)
The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology concluded that food-specific IgG4 reflects exposure/tolerance rather than allergy or intolerance and that testing should not be performed for food-related complaints. The AAAAI/ACAAI 2014 food allergy practice parameter states that allergen-specific IgG and cytotoxicity assays are unproved and should not be used to evaluate food allergy, and that food-specific IgG/IgG4 is not recommended for diagnosing non-IgE-mediated food disorders. This rating applies to IgG panels and cytotoxicity assays (e.g. ALCAT); we have not reviewed MRT separately.

FAQ
Why are these different tests on one page?
People search for 'food sensitivity test' generically. We list each panel by name and method so the difference is visible.
Is a food sensitivity test the same as an allergy test?
No. IgE-based allergy testing is a different test; see the evidence note on this page.
Why do prices differ so much?
Sellers set their own prices for the same lab's kit and may bundle practitioner authorization, consultations, shipping or add-ons. The table shows the price and any separately listed fees as posted on each seller's public page on the date checked.
How current are these prices?
All prices were checked on Oct 19, 2026. Prices and availability (including state restrictions) change; confirm on the seller's page before ordering.
